About The Program
Wounded Healer Project is committed to helping justice-involved veterans rebuild their lives and restore their sense of purpose by providing therapeutic support that aligns with their military background and personal experiences. Through this program, veterans are empowered to reclaim their mental well-being and work toward a positive future with mental health counselors who are also veterans themselves.
Wounded Healer Project has an active master contract in FORUM and Colorado Probation services from all districts are able to request a participating addendum (or child contract) to begin receiving services.
Our contract encompasses individual therapy, group therapy, assessment of mental health disorders, and also allows for “other services” which can encompass our Sweat Lodge program as an alternative treatment option.

How This Works
STEP 01
A justice-involved veteran in your district is court ordered to receive mental health care treatment in an outpatient setting.
STEP 02
After ensuring the steps to have your district participate in our Master Contract through Forum has been completed, services can be requested by completing the “Mandated Therapy Request” Form.
STEP 03
We will verify the client’s insurance (if applicable) and provide a confirmation to the client and the probation officer of the client’s intake appointment.
STEP 04
If the client does not have insurance, the court contract will be invoiced for the total amount if the client is not sent with a voucher.
