Our mentorship program is for veterans aspiring to establish their own private mental health practices or nonprofit organizations focused on mental health services.
This program pairs veterans with experienced veteran mental health professionals who have successfully navigated the process of starting and managing private practices or nonprofit organizations, providing personalized guidance, business insights, and practical tools to empower veterans as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey.

Program Components
- One-on-One Mentorship: Personalized mentorship sessions with an experienced veteran mental health counselor to discuss business planning, client engagement, and professional growth.
- Feedback: Interactive feedback on essential topics such as budgeting, branding, licensing, and insurance, led by veteran entrepreneurs.
- Peer Networking: Opportunities to connect with other veterans in mental health, building a support network for sharing resources, referrals, and collaborative ideas.
Eligibility
Open to veterans who are licensed or on the path to licensure as mental health professionals and are interested in starting their own private practices or nonprofit organizations.
Duration
Mentorship duration is flexible, typically spanning 6–12 months, with either monthly one-on-one sessions or less frequent 3-4 hour intensives.
